词汇辨析：shortsighted(没远见)和 Nearsighted (近视)

多年前我在community college进修英文，某日老师进入教室后向我们宣布，她得眼镜坏了，看不清楚字，今天不用课本，以自由交谈得方式上课。我立刻打开话匣子问老师： “are you shortsighted？”老师瞪了我一眼，然后用冷淡的音调回答：“i am not shortsighted。”

我仍然不知趣的继续问她：“how come you can't see very well？”这时候老师知道我又在说中国英文，便心平气和利用机会来教育我们，她说：“i am a nearsighted person. i am not shortsighted. there is a difference between nearsightedness and shortsighted."

nearsighted表示此人视力有问题,而shortsightedness表示此人没有远见的意思!
