On Wednesday evening, we went to the Town Hall.
It was the last day of the year and a large crowd of people had gathered under the Town Hall clock.
星期三的晚上，我们去了市政厅。那是一年的最后一天，一大群人聚集在市政厅的大钟下面。
2.发音重点
Wednesday:不要读成“湾子day”，[ɛ]开口要小，不要用中文“爱”替代.
Crowd:不要读成“可绕的”，双元音[aʊ]要饱满，不要用中文“傲”替代；且注意区分卷舌音与中文“日”的不同。
People:不要读成“批剖儿”，注意区分英文p音跟中文“泼”音不同，且尾音字母l不发“哦、奥、欧儿、奥儿”。
