换句话说就是：Since this thing or person exsits in this world, it or he must have some value.既然这个事物或人存在，它肯定有自己的价值。

换句话说就是：The hard conditions or facts of life can enrich human beings' experiences.
人生中困难的处境可以丰富人的生活阅历。

换句话说就是：Learn from mistakes, and you will gain the last victory.从失败中吸取教训，你将会获得最终的成功。mother在这里并不是传统意义上的"a female parent of a child or animal",而是指“ basis基础，cornerstone奠基石”。

· 人就是人，是自己命运的主人。

for 的用法很多，其中做介词时的意思较多。 它也可以做连词，与另一个句子用逗号分开。意思是因为。如：He was glad to go,for the hostess had been especially good to him.
他喜欢去，因为女主人一向对他特别好。

unexamined life is not worth living. -- Socrates
· 混混噩噩的生活不值得过。 -- 苏格拉底

这句话是苏格拉底在公元前399年对雅典法庭的陪审团说的，苏格拉底当时因信奉异教和有煽动叛乱的言论判罪。当时只要苏格拉底同意不再继续这样，就可以获得流放，不过他最终选择死刑，并说了这句话“life without this sort of examination is not worth living ...”来坚定自己的思想和信仰。

换句话说就是：Only those who start every day fresh new, are capable of living a free and happy lie. 只有那些每天都在为生活而奋斗的人，才有资格过得自由。

这个句子是一个明喻，将生活比喻成航海，将目标比喻成罗盘，告诉我们:Goal is important to life.生活一定要有目标。
