B: Yes. It’s pretty cunning trick; she is playing to be so interested in her life.

cunning: 骗术高超的;狡诈的;诡诈的。

trick: 诡计，计谋;花招。

play: 在对话1中指假装、装样子，相当于pretend.

obese: (不健康的)过胖的。

fraudulent: 欺骗性的;欺骗行为或欺诈的。

B: But that is so hypocritical! He told me he hates the principal!

B: Your child is mendacious; you shouldn’t believe him. I am sure my Johnny would never hit anyone!
