情景对话：

A: What are you going to do in the future?

将来你打算做什么？

B: I'll take a stand with chinese medicine.

我打算献身中华医学。

A: Few young people are interested in it nowadays. You are so different from others.

一， 词海拾贝

take a stand

exp. To publicly assert one's unyielding support of, defense of, or opposition to something. （公开对……的支持，捍卫，公开对……的反对，坚定立场）

e.g. If he wants my vote he'll have to take a stand on the question of free trade.

如果他要我投他的票，他就必须在自由贸易问题上采取坚定的立场。

e.g. All the other kids in the class were too afraid to speak out but Georgina took a stand for what she knew was right.
