中澳自贸协定今日签订

China and Australia have signed the long-awaited free trade agreement (FTA) in Canberra on Wednesday afternoon.

中国和澳大利亚当地时间17日下午在堪培拉签订了期待已久的《中澳自由贸易协定》。

In a ceremony at the Australian National Gallery, Australian Trade Minister Andrew Robb and visiting Chinese Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng officially signed the deal, which frees up trade between the two countries.

澳大利亚贸易部长安德鲁·罗伯与到访的中国商务部长高虎城在澳大利亚国家艺术馆举行的仪式上正式签署了这一自贸协定，使两国贸易自由化。

The agreement will ensure 85% of all Australian exports will enter China tariff-free, rising to 95% when it is in full force.

中澳自贸协定给予85%澳大利亚出口中国的商品零关税，协定全面生效后，这一比率可高达95%。

Australia will remove the existing 5% tariff on Chinese electronics and white goods, meaning cheaper goods for Australian consumers.

澳大利亚也将免除当前进口中国电子产品和白色家电的5%关税，这意味着澳洲民众将可享受更加廉价的"中国制造"。
